Service Description

Day 1- April 8th: In this workshop, students will learn how to build a garden gnome made of clay, using hand-building techniques such as pinch, coil and slab building. You will be given enough clay to make 2-3 gnomes. Students can add texture and decorations to their gnomes to make their figures unique. Day 2- 22nd: When you come back your gnomes will be bisque fired and ready for glazing. You will use our ceramic glazes to paint your gnomes vibrant colors. It will take 1-2 hours to glaze your gnomes. Students will be able to pick up their gnome 1-2 later after it has been glaze fired. We will contact you when your gnomes are ready. People of all ages are welcome! Students younger than 10 should be accompanied by a adult who is also participating! Ticket Cost*: $65, materials and supplies (clay, glazing, pottery tools, & decorative tools) included. Instructors: Gretchen Nicholson
